I received my Northrop Knee Walker several hours ago and it has literally changed my life! I broke my fibula last week, and I was put in a NON weight bearing cast. I found crutches difficult and dangerous, so I have been using a walker to get around while hopping on the good foot! I put the Northrop Knee Walker together easily, and immediately began using it - it is truly fabulous and I can zip around without any problem, and I no longer have to hop!! (I wish that I could get two, one for upstairs and the other for downstairs, but cannot afford it) This Knee Walker is a MUST for anyone with a leg injury! Thank you all the folks at Knee Walker Central!

Go slow!

This is a great improvement over crutches but be careful. You can easily get too comfortable with the mobility. I am 6'4" and this makes this walker center of gravity fairly high. I have fallen twice given the high center of gravity and the very narrow rear axle. Once you start to fall over the direction of the injured leg, there is no stopping. It would be helpful if the rear axle could be widened, particularly on the outbound side where your injury is.

Great product & service

At the suggestion of my surgeon I rented a northrup knee walker to help my recovery from fusion surgery on three joints. It made it so easy to get around vs. crutches or walker. I returned it once I was weight bearing, a month later I went back to non weight bearing thanks to a stress fracture. I literally called while my cast was being fitted and knee walker central kindly shipped it out for arrival the next day (a Saturday). I'm so grateful. Plus the person I spoke with showed empathy. Having been through a ten week recovery, facing four more, the kindness was appreciated. Thank you!

Great Device

This device saved my life, instead of killing my shoulder with a dinosauric crutch I was strolling around like a happy biker. Thank you Knee Walker Central.

Better than expected

This proved to be a nifty little device. It helped me more than I expected after my doctor recommended it to me. I like to spend a lot of time outdoors and this walker helped me do exactly that. The pad was comfortable and itís incredibly easy to steer. My only real complaint is that I didnít know about it when I was recovering from a broken ankle 5 years ago.
